Good design for the win

Sports & Entertainment Brands

01. Branding

Sports Business Institute

Fastlane had the privilege of designing the brand for the Sports Business Institute (SBI), including its educational branch, SBI University. SBI University provides specialized sports business education for individuals aspiring to build careers in the management, executive, promotion, and business aspects of the sports industry.

Our branding work captured the dynamic and professional essence of the institute, creating a strong visual identity that resonates with the sports community and aligns with the institution’s mission to develop the next generation of sports industry leaders.

02. Philanthropy + Soccer

Dunga

Fastlane had the privilege of designing the brand for Dunga’s charity foundation. Dunga, a legendary figure in Brazilian soccer, is best known for captaining Brazil’s national team in three FIFA World Cups, including their victorious 1994 campaign.

After retiring from playing, he transitioned into coaching, later becoming the head coach of the Brazilian national team, where he continued to contribute to the sport by nurturing young talent.

Beyond his remarkable soccer career, Dunga has made a significant impact through his philanthropic efforts. He founded a not-for-profit initiative aimed at helping impoverished communities in Brazil, with a focus on providing support and resources to those in need. Fastlane was honored to create a brand identity that reflects Dunga’s commitment to using his platform for positive change, both on and off the field, and his enduring legacy in Brazilian soccer and social causes.

02. Game Changing

United Basketball League

The United Basketball League (UBL) was founded with the goal of providing a professional pathway for the 99.9% of high school basketball players who don’t make it to the NBA, WNBA, or other major leagues.

With over 500,000 boys and 400,000 girls playing basketball at the high school level in the U.S., and only a fraction making it to professional leagues, the UBL offers an alternative. Its mission is to develop local talent and provide them with a platform to pursue their professional dreams domestically, without the need to go overseas or get lost in the minor league system. The UBL’s approach is to create a community-focused organization that supports athletes throughout all stages of their career, complementing the existing NBA and international markets.

Fastlane played a key role in bringing the UBL’s vision to life by providing graphic design and website design for the venture. The branding and online presence created by Fastlane reflect the league’s mission of empowering local talent and building a community-based development system. The UBL strives to offer a streamlined development path, giving the nearly 900,000 boys and girls dreaming of a professional basketball career a real opportunity to grow and succeed.

04. Brand development

Baller social

Fastlane played a pivotal role in the brand development of Baller Social, a startup poised to revolutionize the social media landscape by uniting artists, athletes, and their fans. Recognizing the unique vision of Baller Social to combine the best features of existing platforms, Fastlane focused on creating a strong brand identity that would resonate with potential investors.

Fastlane began with comprehensive market research to understand Baller Social’s target audience and the competitive landscape. This research informed the development of a unique value proposition that highlighted the platform’s ability to foster authentic connections between creators and fans. Fastlane positioned Baller Social not just as a social media app, but as a vibrant ecosystem that champions creativity and engagement.

06. Mothers of professional basketball players

Sports as a unifying force for good

Fastlane developed a comprehensive glossary book for the “Mothers of Professional Basketball Players” event, aimed at empowering the mothers of athletes with essential knowledge about managing their sons’ financial futures.

Recognizing that financial literacy is crucial for both athletes and their families, Fastlane sought to create a valuable resource that would provide guidance and clarity on various financial topics.

06. Graphic design support

Spotify Brazil launch

Fastlane’s deep connections to Brazil, particularly through its Brazilian graphic designers and creative director, positioned the company as a key design partner for Spotify’s official launch in the country.

As part of the event, which featured Brazil’s most prominent celebrity musicians, Fastlane was tasked with creating custom design elements to celebrate the occasion. A standout feature was the custom-painted Skullcandy headphones, a unique gift for each celebrity in attendance. These one-of-a-kind headphones, personalized by Fastlane’s talented team, symbolized the fusion of music, art, and culture that marked Spotify’s entry into Brazil’s vibrant music scene.
